Where to Begin!!!

First, thanks mom for updating for me. I couldn't get on as much as I thought and you kept everyone up to speed. :)

Wow, what can I say. So much has happened since I've been here. I'm both humbled and amazed to see how God is working in and through my life.

The first 3 wks. I was here, I stayed w/ a family who lived in the village. Needless to say it was the most challenging thing I have ever been through. However, I learned so many life lessons through it and I was drawn to God more. It also allowed me to come in contact w/ so many different people who will be able to help me in the future. :)

Now, I am happy to say, I am in the city!!! I'm enjoying spending time w/ an amazing Kenyan named Maureen!! I love her so much. I have only known her for a little over 2 months but I am forever grateful for everything she is doing and has done for me. :)

I trust and pray that my life will never be the same. He has changed me so much and I am forever grateful to Him for blessing me w/ everything I have.

I have also received the information on my first compassion child! She is 4 yrs. old and has already found her way into my heart.

I have been able to visit the slums while in the city. Words can't express what I saw. I know I will never be the same after that. :)

I have 2 more wks here in Kenya. In that time, I will visit a Compassion project, teach in a slum, spend time w/ my new friend and experience everything Nairobi, Kenya has to offer. :)

I'm thankful for all the prayers and support. :)

Thank you again and God Bless!

update on Mandi~ Kenya

This is at the airport.... where she arrived in Nairobi. This is Maureen (Maurine) a Compassion International student/graduate.... she met Mandi at the airport and they became great friends.
Please continue to pray for Mandi. She isn't able to update her blog but can update her "status" on facebook. She doesn't have a computer/laptop or internet in the village. She uses one of the leaders phone to update her status. Maureen plans to visit her at Dago Orphanage and she may have internet access. Hopefully Mandi will be able to update.
I am keeping it short.... I know she wants to share all about what God is showing her...
Keep praying. Please leave a comment so she will know you stopped by~
May God bless you~
